Grand Trip in Spite of the Weather!
I was dismayed when I saw the cold and wet weather forecast for our trip, but I was also determined to have a wonderful time. Ditto for the rest of our group. Western made every effort to get us down to the raft in spite of an aborted plane trip. We all became a team, helping one another to the extent of offering extra warm, dry clothing when needed. The Grand Canyon in all its glory and our experienced guides made the trip a memorable one. I have never seen the Canyon in the rain, and it is beautiful; how's that for seeing the glass half full? On the second night at camp the weather cleared, and when I looked up at the canopy of stars, it took my breath away.
