nature has taught them to slow down, relax and enjoy life.” New for 2004 is the Green River Saddles and Paddles, a tour for campers and non-campers alike, beginning with a restful night at the Red Cliffs Ranch on the banks of the Colorado river, and mixing horseback riding through Castle Valley, a red rock Hummer safari, 60 white water rapids, hiking trips and gourmet meals. “This was an incredible trip for our family. We have not stopped talking about how much fun we had and how great the people were that we met,” said Jan Cortes of Connecticut, a Western River guest. “We have so many wonderful memories. This trip was a true gift. We will treasure it for the rest of our lives. Thank you for a family vacation of a lifetime.” Families can choose between a five or six-day Green River Saddles and Paddles trip with either four or five days rafting the river. Five-day trips begin May, while the six-day trips begin June 24 as river flows begin to slow. For the five-day adventure, adults are $1,125 and youth under18 are $955. Prices for the six-day trip are adults $1,185 and youth $995. Western River trips are all-inclusive once guests arrive in the departure location. Prices include lodging, transportation between sites, meals, camping equipment and professional guides.
