Most of my family (8) went on this rafting trip and it was wonderful--we will remember and talk about it for a lifetime. Our guides, Wendy, Sarah K., Sara B., and Kenna were marvelous. They always had a smile. And ready to help and tell us about the area. They were full of wonderful surprises. Plus, the food they prepared and served fresh each day was incredible. I enjoyed the breathtaking scenery and the pristine surroundings. I think Desolation Canyon is misnamed - it’s beautiful - but perhaps that name is good to keep too many people from "discovering" it. From the wonderful, eye-popping flight over the canyons, the wildlife sightings, the light on the canyon walls (especially early morning and late in the day), to the lovely campsites - it was hard to absorb so much natural beauty. This June my girlfriend, Ahleah, and I went on the 4 day trip down the Green River. It was our first vacation, and it was amazing. The water and canyons were beautiful and endless. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing half the time. Living in a city for a while, and you forget what untouched beauty still remains remarkable. It was so relaxing to just lay back on the boat and watch the scenary slowly creep by. It was nice to get personal with some of the rapids in your own inflatable kayak. (Like Chandler Falls and Rattlesnake.) It was great! The rapids were awesome! Camping was also a lot fun, especially the food and entertainment. The food was better than I could have imagined. What a wonderful family adventure! Our 15 year old son, who craves adventure, and our 14 year old daughter, who was a little timid about the thought of whitewater rafting, both loved it. I loved that I didn’t have to do a lick of work on the whole trip, thanks to the superb planning of Western River, and our great guides. Great trip!
