Trip Details

1) Meet the night before your scheduled launch at 7:00 PM at the Mountain village Lodge in Stanley, Idaho.
2) Depart the next morning between 7:00 – 8:00 AM.
3) On the last day, we typically get off the river around 2:00 PM and return you to the Stage Coach Inn in Salmon, ID between 4:30 – 5:00 PM
4) Remember our hosted farewell dinner the last night.

You have two choices to get to STANLEY, the starting point of the trip, FLYING or DRIVING.

FLYING (two options):
1) There is an air taxi service that will take you from Boise to Stanley at the start of the trip, and from Salmon back to Boise at the end of the trip for roughly $290. Most people prefer this. You can contact Salmon Air at 1-800-448-3413.

2) If you are 3 or more people it may be more economical to rent a car in Boise and drive 2.5 hours to Stanley before the trip. Then the rental car is shuttled north while you are on the river at a cost of $120. Then once we are off the river and in the town of Salmon you drive about 5.5 hours back to Boise. So, if you have plenty of time this is a good option. Contact River Shuttles at 1-800-831-8942.

DRIVING:
Drive to Stanley, have your car shuttled for about $120 to Salmon, and then it’s waiting for you at trip’s end.
