Those of us at Western who are parents and grandpar-ents understand the importance of creating unforgettable family vacations with just the right dose of adventure and relaxation. I will never have a better Christmas gift. Ever. My spouse and I, with our 3 kids, ages 22, 20 and 17 had the time of our lives. The whitewater rapids are so exciting and fun, the hikes to beautiful waterfalls and lookout points are incredible, the food is fantastic. The Western River guides are knowledgeable, engaging, and warm-hearted, making every passenger feel special. When I think back to my favorite moments though, they were the evening talks wed have while laying on our cots, gazing up at the very starry sky.Soon the kids will go back to college or high-school and Ill have less frequent contact, so I cherish those talks about life, their hopes and dreams, and their futures, greatly.An adventure like this is such special bonding time for families. I sure hope that they never figure out how to get cell reception down in the canyon because, for a parent, having your kids undivided attention for a week is truly priceless!
