Everything was absolutely seamless. From pick-up at the hotel, tremendously scenic flight to the ranch, ranch activities and orientation, thrilling helicopter ride into the canyon and on to the raft trip itself, then, sadly, transferring to the jetboat at the end of the trip (we wanted to stay on the raft and hear more about the canyon and maybe some more cowboy poetry!) and the bus journey back to “civilization.” Everyone involved in making this trip possible, (reservation staff, guides, pilots, the folks at the ranch, bus driver, Kim at the hotel) were friendly, professional and informative. We really didn’t have to think about anything – it all just happened. It was well worth having the day at Bar 10 Ranch where Andrea and Gavin welcomed us and explained all we needed to know to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff seemed just as interested in their guests as we were in their lifestyle and ranch experiences. It was an enjoyable and relaxing introduction to our trip rounded off with enthusiastic, talented entertainment from the ranch folks in the evening before we headed off to sleep under the magnificent night sky. The four day trip down the lower Grand Canyon was the highlight of my life. Our guides were supurb hosts who made you feel like family. They are masters of their trade. Our family just returned from the incredible 4 day rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. We loved every minute of this adventure! First of all let me say a special "thank you" to our talented, personable and capable guides Brian and Erica (on our raft) and Wendy and Paul. These four amazing individuals would have made a trip through a muddy swamp fun for all but made our trip down the Colorado River the experience of a lifetime. Thank you! Also the overnight stay at the Bar 10 Ranch was wonderful. Real cowboys and cowgirls still exist at Bar 10. The genuiness and sweetness of this throughback in time was delightful. My husband, daughters 15 and 12, and I are all planning another trip as soon as we can afford it.
