Days Three Through Six: Cataract Canyon » Combine the ideal balance of relaxation and spectacular scenery with thrilling whitewater excitement on this 4 day, 3 night Colorado River rafting trip. The first part of your adventure winds through the heart of Canyonlands National Park where you’ll discover astounding redrock monuments, well-preserved Native American ruins, and hikes to breathtaking overlooks. After passing the Confluence of the Green and Colorado River you’ll experience over 28 whitewater rapids as the canyon carves even deeper into ancient rock formations. Savor delicious meals prepared for you every day. Fall asleep to the sounds of the Colorado River or just relax on your cot counting endless shooting stars in the night sky. This is a trip that won’t be forgotten.

Note: During this time you can also add additional excursions to your trip. Visit Moab Adventure Center for adventures ranging from 2-hours to full-day trips.

July & August Paddle Option As the water slows its pace in July and August, we change from 37' J-Rig rafts to 18' oar boats, and smaller paddle rafts - making these trips more suitable for teens or active adults. If you are looking for a more "hands-on" experience, these later trips are ideal. Legendary whitewater in Cataract Canyon provides endless excitement whether you choose the larger J-rigs in June or the smaller boats in July & August. Note: The date in July at which we switch to the smaller boats is determined by water levels which are difficult to predict before spring.

Cataract Canyon & Sorrel River Ranch Vacation » Guest Comments

"This was an incredible trip for our family. We have not stopped talking about how much fun we had and how great the people were that we met. As great as everything was, truly the guides were the key to making this trip so fantastic. They were all absolutely amazing; they were not only expert rafters, but great cooks, funny, outgoing, kind, etc., etc. We all miss them. We have so many wonderful memories. This trip was a true gift. We will treasure it for the rest of our lives. Thank you for a family vacation of a lifetime."
