Western River started taking reservations for the 2012 rafting season in Grand Canyon in the fall of 2010. We have several dates that are already filled. It seems that a whitewater trip on the Colroado River in the Grand Canyon has made it to the top of the world’s "Bucket List" of adventures.
Guests are coming as solo travelers, as couples, as families, as extended families and with friends. Some even took the same trip many, many years ago and are now returning with their own families.
Raft Trips are certainly not what they were when Western River was founded 50 years ago. That’s right – it’s our 50th Anniversary this 2011 season. Rafting Expeditions are such an easy trip to do – just call and make a reservation and leave the planning up to us. We provide all of the camping equipment- from cots, sleeping bags, tents, drybags, eating utinsils, – everything you need. Our guides cook wonderful, deluxe meals, many of them dutch-oven style.

There are a few choice spaces left in August. We find, however, guests are looking forward also to the 2012 season and making their plans early in order to beat the crowd of guests looking for these unique whitewater rafting trips on the Colorado River in Grand Canyon.
