This is a picture on the Colorado River, just north of Moab Utah. As a former Western River Expeditions guide, there is a sweet spot in my heart for the canyons and rivers of the Colorado plateau. I have many memories of trips and friends throughout the years that simply brings a smile to my face. Fortunately, I have had two daughters that have carried on the tradition of working for Western River Expeditions who absolutely love their river experiences as well. It is even better to have that bond between family members as it is a feeling that speaks to the heart. I hope this photo sparks some of those peaceful feelings, as it captures the sun setting after a hot, sun-drenched day in the desert.
