I’m sharing a letter I received from a former guest who travelled with us 17 years ago, but still felt compelled to write. I remember the incident she describes and how it all came together. By our nature, river guides are problem solvers and this was a fun one to solve.
"I have often told the story about our experience staying at the ranch and rafting down the Green River. We took our three children and the trip was well worth it."
"But most important was the exceptional service that you gave us — well beyond what I have ever seen before and since. My son needed some medication and we did not realize it until we were at the ranch. There was only a radio there, but later that day one of your planes flew over our raft and dropped the medication in a sealed bucket with a hand-made label saying, ‘Rescue Type Barbecue Sauce’. It made my son’s trip much more bearable.’"
"You not only went out of your way to deliver the medication, but you contacted a physician in Moab, Utah to prescribe it and you picked it up and managed to get it directly to us – all without charge."
"I have recommended you numerous times. I haven’t had an occasion to do another rafting trip, but there is no question who I would contact."
"Just thought I should actually put this to paper and say thanks! Finally."
Letter’s like this make it all worth while. One of the great things about our Green River tours is that we feel like the participants become a part of our extended family.
