How to be prepared for “weather’ on a whitewater rafting tour

The ‘weather’ is a common question that we receive from our guests that are anticipating their Grand Canyon whitewater rafting tour on the Colorado River. since they will be in an outdoor situation for the duration of their river trip.

We always hope for good weather on our river trips,  but you should be prepared for the possibility of cooler weather and storms.  This is applicable to all trips throughout the season.  The following chart shows averages for the months of March through October.  Temperatures and precipitation will vary.  A rain storm or a cool front can happen anytime.  You can find current weather forecasts at http://www.westernriver.com.  Go to Grand Canyon 6 or 7 Day Trip and click "Weather Forecast".
