2008 was my 50th birthday and I convinced my wife and two daughters to share an adventure of a lifetime on the Colorado River. This picture is unusual as it is not one of the river or canyon. I wanted to share our admiration for the 4 excellent guides who not only brought us safely through 6 days of awesome rapids but shared their love, knowledge and experience of the canyon, fed us well, kept us safe and gave us a lifetime of memories to reflect on.
