A True Trip of a Lifetime!

We have been saving up and waiting for our youngest to get old enough for this trip, and it was truly worth the wait! Our kids are 18, 13, and 11 and they enjoyed every bit of the trip!

From the Bar 10 ranch where they rode horses, 4-wheelers and shot a shotgun, to the 3 days and 2 nights on the Colorado River. We have not stopped talking and laughing about the different parts of the trip!  

We had such a fun group to raft with! Thank you (Cameron) for being so nice to entertain our girls! Marty was our main guide, which meant he was in charge of the stops and tours. They were wonderful! The waterfall was my favorite, but then it is hard to pick just one favorite. Shad was also a guide on the raft and he was an excellent informer on all the rock formations and tales of the Colorado River. He also had a few good jokes! :-) All of the guides did an excellent job of making sure we were comfortable, safe and well fed. I was a bit nervous about taking our youngest down the Grand Canyon, but after the first few hours I realized we had guides that would protect her from any harm, and she had a blast!

My husband and I are trying to figure out when we can go again, with or without the kids! With our oldest going into college and then a future of Army service, we don't know that we will have another "all-family" summer trip, so this was a great finish to all the fun years we have had! It was a great trip for all of us, thank you Johnny, Jase and especially Marty and Shad! We will never forget this trip!
