A Perfect Family Adventure!

We were looking for a special Christmas gift for our four grown children and new son-in-law and a friend recommended Western River Expeditions.

We could not be happier that we decided to do it! The chance to be all together, disconnected from our daily routines and surrounded by such spectacular scenery was a huge gift to me. The days passed in "River Time" and we quickly lost track of hours and days.

Our guides Craig, Ben, Travis and Melissa did a wonderful job teaching us about the history and geology of the Grand Canyon, and entertaining us with stories and personal experiences. The meals were fantastic and I miss waking up early in the canyon to the sound of the conch shell and the smell of hot coffee.

It was fun getting to know a great group of guests and experiencing all the awe-inspiring sites we were able to see.

Most of all, I loved spending a week as a family again now that all of our children are grown. Sleeping cot to cot under a full moon on the edge of the Colorado River is a memory I will always cherish. A trip down the Grand Canyon gave me a deepened sense of perspective on time and how brief our stay on Earth really is.
