Colorado River Rafting Experience

5

| April 12, 2016

My brother, son and I had the most amazing rafting adventure on a section of the Colorado River that I'm not sure too many people know about. We all hear about the Grand Canyon and the rafting there being something that you have to do before you die. Well, little did I know that there were 100 miles of the Colorado River upstream from the Grand Canyon that would surprise me and make me want more! This red rock desert area of the Southwest, known as Canyonlands National Park offers high adventure, serene calm, history and hikes to panoramic vistas. The water was warm for swimming and the rapids were pretty exciting when we rafted them in oar boats and paddle boats. We met some new friends for life. I can't wait to go back to the Cataract Canyon! Oh, and the scenic flight back over the river was the most perfect ending to 4 glorious days on the river!
