Fantastic, spectacular, fun, amazing, wonderful, awesome...let me get the Thesaurus!
My 70th birthday gift from our son was a trip of my choice - just he and I. As I scratched off the days on the calendar before the adventure began I wondered if perhaps I had bit off more than a 70 - year old grandma could chew. My fears were totally unfounded.
This vacation was even more than spectacular in all aspects from start to finish. Sleeping in covered wagons at the Bar 10 Ranch, driving an ATV to watch a sunset, helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon, the whitewater rafting with majestic views around every turn of the river, hiking to a waterfall, camping on the banks of the Colorado River with the starry sky above and the sound of the rushing water lulling us to sleep, and the joy of sharing all of this with my son...well, what can I say?
The adventure, the guides, the food...all the logistics were dealt with beautifully making this truly a trip of a lifetime! Be sure it is on your Bucket List!
