Guides Were Fantastic
Our 4-day trip was led by Ben Kessler. Ben, Taylor, Steve, Aaron, and Kyle were all amazing guides. All are very knowledgeable, courteous, empathetic, hard working, positive people. Their job is not an easy one, but they all seem right at home on the river. They all really made a huge impact on our experience.
I think the rapids were a bit calm compared to normal during our trip, but were still a blast and enough to kick our butts. Steve is an excellent paddle boat guide and leader - get in his boat.
The food was pretty incredible. I feared being offered tofu or something of the sort, but all we were offered was delicious food that leaves you impressed with what they are able to whip up out in the remote desert.
Mosquitoes love to gnaw on my girlfriend and I, so we chose to sleep in a tent each night. My only negative comment would be in regards to the tents Western provides. 2 of the 3 nights we ended up with a tent that had broken zippers, so we couldn't zip the windows shut. The mosquitos ate well those two nights. Just a little better QC and this would be a 5 star review.
Overall this was a great trip and experience. Again, thank you Ben, Taylor, Steve, Aaron and Kyle. You guys were nothing short of fantastic.
