From the moment we put into the Middle Fork of the Salmon River and paddled as teams, there was constant excitement. In the evenings, there were sumptuous dinners and contentment. The Milky Way and stars, absent back home, were nighttime companions and reminders that a simpler way of life renews one's soul. The short but vertical hikes to spectacular vistas and waterfalls were invigorating and breathtaking. Our guides instilled confidence and were wonderful hosts. Laughs abounded.
