Memorable Experience – First Class All The Way – Family Adventures

I took this Western River Expeditions trip with my daughter 23 years ago, and while I travel extensively, this trip always remained in my memory bank as a highlight. I could hardly wait for my 2 grandchildren to come of age so we could do it together. So, for my 70th birthday, it was time for my family of 5 to pile on the JRig one more time.

Words do not do justice in describing the majesty of the Grand Canyon, the exhilaration of the rapids, and the beauty and fun of the side hikes. Then there is the Western River Expeditions staff with their endless energy, willingness to help in every way possible and their amazing culinary skills. Yes, I probably gained a lb or two on the trip; the meals were incredible. Kudos to our boat leader Ben with 19 years experience with WRE, he was a pro guiding the boat, tackling the rapids while achieving the most excitement in a safe controlled way. Ben Knight was our junior guide, junior only in the level of experience with WRE, but a champion and sweetheart making sure our every need was met and questions answered.

During lunch and evenings, we connected with our other JRig group guided by Parker and Chaz, I only heard great accolades about them also! I wholeheartedly recommend Western River Expeditions, they were wonderful 23 years ago and there wasn't a doubt in my mind when it was time to reserve this trip that I would only travel with Western. They exceeded my expectations!
