The Trip of a “Life Time”, I Had an Epiphany About How I Was Living My Life – Rafting the Grand Canyon

I have been looking forward to this whitewater rafting trip through the Grand Canyon for my entire life.

I was lucky enough to be able to take my 13 year old son with me.  He had a little tech withdrawal but he made it through just fine.

We spent a contemplative, exciting, unique week.  Just us, the water and the desert.  It was a time of quiet thoughts and loud laughs.  A time of good food and cold splashing water.  I'm so glad I made the choice to go and take my son with me.  I know he'll NEVER forget this experience.  I can already feel the pull of the Colorado River calling me back, asking me to get to know her better.

The quality of the trip was top notch.  Great equipment and food and the Western River guides could not have been better.

I learned a lot and only wish I had read the books before I left rather than when I got back.
