The trip was totally awesome.
We travelled with Kelly and Newty on our trip. I had never camped before and thought I had done a little white water rafting but that doesn't even compare to the experiance I had with Western. I went into the trip with an open mind and no expectations and I have to tell you I don't know how anything else can compare. Kelly and Newty were excellent guides and became excellent friends. They were knowledgeable and caring, expalined every aspect of the trip and each and every set of rapids we were prepared for completely. The group we started out with on day 1 became a family on day 2 . What a wonderful group of people. The side trips up the various canyons was unexpected as to just how awesome they where. I even climbed the stair master from hell but was totally amazed by what we saw from the top of the climb and then the oasis we came across as we went further into the canyon. Even the 1 day of rain on our last evening and day didn't dampen the adveture nor did the last minute adjustments to our return to Las Vegas it became part of the adventure. Can't say enough good things and I'm seriously considering going back next year to finish the trip by doing the 3-day trip down to Lake Mead. All I can say if you are considering doing any kind of rafting, Western River Expeditions are the folks to do it with.
