Western River Expeditions Is, and Will Always Be, the Best!!

We had a group of 12 of us- a combination of friends and family- who went on our first annual adventure vacation together! This was my fourth trip with Western River, and if that doesn’t tell you something about how fantastic this company is, I don’t know what will!
We went on our excursion during monsoon season and unfortunately, we witnessed it first hand. On the last night of the trip, an unexpected monsoon came up and we were forced to evacuate the canyon. I cannot speak more highly of the responsiveness and control that the guides took of the situation.
Although we were sad that our trip came to an unexpectedly early end, there was never a moment when we felt scared or fearful because of our guides’ calmness and direction. You would think that sliding down a muddy 20-foot cliffside would deter us from doing this again, but the trip was so fantastic that we have already booked the 4 day Grand Canyon trip next summer!
After returning to Moab, the CEO and managers of Western River met with us and we're eager to hear how they could improve the situation- to be honest, they couldn’t. Everything was handled the right way. It was a learning moment for all (we were the first group to ever have to be evacuated out) but the guides handled it well. Western River Expeditions is, and will always be, the best!!
