Experiencing the Grand Canyon by river raft is such a unique experience, it has hard to describe. The peace and fascination of being in a billions of years old environment, watching the different layers of history as we travel down the river, everyones quiet awe of the ever changing beauty , mixed with yells and laughter of hitting the rapids. The extremes, heat of the air balanced out by cold water, living outside on the natural rythmn of light, up at dawn and sleep at dusk. Waking multiple times in order to just gaze at the vast starry sky. The relaxation and joy of just talking in real time with real people, no cell coverage! The little things like cooling off in a beautiful waterfall that make each day perfect. The guides were fantastic, knowledgable, great cooks, and always entertaining with river history and stories. Thank you Western Expeditions for this wonderful experience.
