What a trip, seeing billion-year-old rocks. White water rafting for 6 days, camping in the wilderness. Meeting new people. The river guides were beyond fantastic. Their job was to see that 2 boats with 15 passengers in each were all well fed, but most of all that each person was well taken care of, no matter what their needs were.
Ronnie, who was the only female guide on this trip, was strong and precise in what was expected of each of us on this swift river. I so appreciate it. Jeff, our guide on our boat, was strong and took extremely good care of each of us. Aaron and Noah were right there with their full attention on each guess. I can’t say enough about these four people. I shall never forget them.
The canyon, river, hiking, and oh, the food was beyond fabulous. I don’t know how they did it.
If wilderness camping is your thing, I highly recommend this trip
Oh, the finale was the helicopter ride out. I happened to be one of the lucky ones, sitting next to the pilot up front. What a ride and view!
Just one thing, it would be nice if each guide had a hat that said Western River Rafting Trip so that we could easily pick them out from the others who are wearing hats.
