Wonderful ranch and river experience that gets into your souI! I previously did upper canyon 6-day through Western River. I wanted to see the last portion of the canyon, and this trip I brought my nieces and nephews (ages 12-20).
I debated the additional day on the ranch but it was well worth it. Spending time on a legit western ranch with horses, ATV rides to canyon’s edge, and sleeping in a Conestoga wagon are things not readily available to us today. My 20 y/o niece said sleeping in the wagon made her feel like Laura Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie.
The river experienced is something you can’t forget. It’s a perfect mix of calmer waters to chill and take in the scenery, mixed with adrenaline filled rapids, and side hikes to hidden spots in the canyon. The scenery throughout is breathtaking, the beaches pristine, excellent food and top notch guides. We were sad when our last day came and are now missing the river!
