An Amazing Multi-generation Adventure

We did a 6 day Grand Canyon river trip for the adult family members this past July- 2nd one for some of us- and once again the trip and Western River met and exceeded our expectations. We had amazing guides in Lucky, Skinny, Shelby and Bridger and they educated as well as took care of our every need. Almost everyone on our two rafts were part of a multi-generational trip- including us. Grandparents, parents and now kids had all experienced the Canyon with Western River. It was fun to get to know the other families from Georgia, Seattle, New York and a couple of groups from Utah as we were. It was a welcome break to be away from cell phones and social media and be turned in to each other and to the magnificent scenery around every bend. On this trip, Havasu was my favorite stop. My family had spent time at Havasupai a few years ago and it was a treat to hike in and see it from the river end. The beautiful blue water is such a treat to see and to swim in. When we got off the river in 2021, my daughter and I turned to each other and said, “When can we go again???” (It was truly life changing for her as now this was her 4th trip down the river and she has also begun river guiding in Wyoming.) The seven of us that went this time said the same thing. “When can we go again???” My son had to miss this trip, so we definitely will be looking at another Grand Canyon adventure with Western River.
