Our trip down the Colorado River and through the Grand Canyon defies my descriptive skills. Simply stated, the magnificence of the setting, and the feelings it evokes, must be experienced to be fully comprehended. I had always wanted to visit the Canyon, but the best way to appreciate its majesty is to flow through it and to, literally, immerse yourself in the sensation. Our guides were informative, capable, experienced, and affable, as they wore multiple hats as river pilots, teachers, cooks, and entertainers. WRE provided for all of our needs, and considering the logistics of the expedition, it is difficult how they could have done better. As a lifelong New Englander, it was an enlightening and entertaining experience to begin the trip with a taste of western ranch life at Bar 10.
