We had such a wonderful experience with Western River Expedition's 7-day Grand Canyon adventure in September 2018 that we immediately afterwards said, "We're doing that again!" Our June 2022 trip was equally rewarding! We got to see some new things--the Little Colorado blue instead of brown, Elves Chasm--and some familiar things--Redwall Cavern and its fossils, Deer Creek Falls, and of course, Havasu Creek. Even the "repeats" had new wonders for us this time. Overall, there is just something awe-inspiring about having the history of the Earth surrounding you. To touch 2.6 billion-year-old rocks! I cannot say enough about the crew. Joey, Sarah, Parker, and Lou were all enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and skillful. The rapids are fun, but I enjoyed even more sitting on the "princess pad" and hearing Parker talk to Lou about the technique for running the next rapid. Joey's poems were something to look forward to every morning. I was glad to hear that Western has had 80, even 90-year-old guests. Because I can see doing this trip again... :)
