All I can say is WOW.

What an AMAZING trip. Gorgeous scenery, extra fun rapids, and a great crew to be stuck with for four days.

I am disabled (right below knee amputee) and this was the first time I had been camping or rafting since losing my leg. Not only were my peers extremely helpful when I needed it, but the guides were extremely accommodating, understanding that I want to have a good time, but also stay as safe as possible.

It was a pretty relaxing trip for the first two days, just floating down the river. But it allowed us to bond as a group while stuck on a boat with no internet or other forms of entertainment. I grew great friendships on this trip.

Special shoutout to our INCREDIBLE guides - Dylan, Cadin, Jack, Hank, and Mark. They were extremely knowledgeable about the river, got us safely to our destinations, and were amazing river cooks. We had some of the best food you would never believe was made while camping.

Though the sand and my prosthetic were not great friends, the trip was unforgettable and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. If you are nervous about camping, go anyways. You will be surprised how easy the guides make it. Scared of being away from cell service? You'll be amazed at the connections you make and the relief of not checking your phone every 3 minutes.

Also huge shoutout to Fred and the Warriors on Cataract team who helps veterans get out and explore this beautiful scenery.
