I don't have the time to reflect on all the wonder and joy we experienced on our Rogue River Trip but it was the best. Our guides were wonderful in all expectations. Full of information about the river in all aspects. I am an avid kayaker here in our state of CT which means Long Island Sound, estuary situations, lakes, ponds ambulating rivers. I was not really experienced with rapids! But the introduction on the Rogue Rivers was exciting and educational. I never thought about a river that had an elevation down of 800 ft. At age 74, 78, and 67 we were the elders of the group of 18 plus our 5 guides. As a group, we all seemed to meld into a bunch of friends encouraging and thoughtful throughout our 4 days on the river. The lodging and food all along the way were lovely and more than adequate. Thank you Morrison Lodge for a wonderful time and I have so much respect for your skills, friendship, and determination to experience a total vacation and keep us informed and safe.
We love that river and I am so happy that I was able to travel to the "source" Crater Lake and have the swim of my life in that pristine water. It added the cherry to the top of my expectations for sure. Thank you again. It's a must! Sorry that I don't have a photo of me kayaking in the last bit of rapids before takeout. It was hard work but so worth it!!!! I can do it!
