After having a blast last year in Westwater Canyon, I decided to book the 4-day Cataract Canyon trip. Solo myself, the overall group was smaller as well with 14 total plus four guides. Every part of the trip from the very first hour was thoroughly enjoyed. The canyons, the weather, the atmosphere, and the guides were all awesome. I ended up kinda having most of one of the rafts to myself, as each family took a raft for themselves, so to speak. This gave me the job, by proxy of location, of filling water bottles for everyone, as the water and lemonade were located on my raft. I enjoyed this little responsibility more than one would probably expect. There was a little extra fun to be had with the guides as it was known that someone had gotten "dunked" in Skull Rapids the previous year. It turned out, though, that our rafting experiences were telling of someone, and that someone was me. It was my most memorable experience from my first rafting trip. Hence, a little joke in good fun was had on day 2 when I told Victoria, who was guiding my raft when we split for the first rapids, that the goal was to take better care of me than Jennel. (Excuse me if I spell her name wrong). No actual ill feelings, the entire Westwater trip, including being submerged, was a blast and one I'd repeat. (I told you, our crew, I'd put that in my review). Though we were at very low water levels and the rapids weren't as impressive as promoted, everything was still a blast and 100 percent worth it.

The food was incredible. The camping under the stars was unreal deep in those Canyons. The flight at the end was enjoyed as well, fun yet professional. Although it was a good way to end the trip, I would've been just as happy to float along to the raft takeout and spend a few more hours on the water. No actual complaints, though. Just that time flies when you're having that much fun and I wasn't ready for it to be over. Now I have to figure out how to fit a repeat trip, into my schedule next year or so. Or I've considered doing Westwater multiple times in the same trip, for more rapids, but I'd miss the other parts that made this trip so special. Thank you for having me on this trip.
