Wow. Cataract Canyon Trip Beat All Expectations

It's hard to put into words how much we loved this trip. I had high expectations across the board, from the beauty of seeing Canyonlands and Cataract Canyon from the water, the thrill of rapids up to class 5, great river guides (Nate and Meg), serene and pristine campsite, sleeping under the stars, great company...and it beat all expectations. I have only rafted 2-3 times before and never in a motorized boat, so I was a bit leery of noise of the engine, but it was a compromise we had to make since we had only 2 days to spare. It in no way impacted the peace and serenity, mixed with adrenaline rush of big rapids. Nate was our boat captain and he was excellent, mixing guiding skills, pointing out sites and sharing history, letting us know what to expect when hitting the rapids. I'd to it again, and again!
