I took the Grand Canyon 4 day trip to bring the ashes of a good friend to a sacred Hopi resting spot.
The 3 young girls on our trip watched me from afar whenever I performed my Native American ceremonies. I was blessed to share with them many stories and bits of Native American culture and answer many questions girls of their age ask about our universe.
On the last evening of our trip, we designed and made costumes for a black tie dinner. I watched them as they developed THEIR own beautiful river ceremony.
