Best Family Trip Ever! – In the Grand Canyon

We took the whole family on the Grand Canyon 3 day rafting with 1 day at the Bar 10 trip. This included the 40 something parents and a 10, 12 and 13 year old. We had an absolute blast! Nothing gets a family to bond quicker than trying to hold on through the rapids, look at breathtaking scenery, laugh at the guide's jokes and use the primitive facilities (and by this I mean the muddy Colorado River). It puts moms and dads on equal footing with the kids and they love it! No electronics and cell service for a few days also helps redirect the attention to the scenery, the geology, the history and the good ole family fun!

Many kudos to Wiley and Haley...our trusty guides. They were multi-talented and made the trip seem fresh even though I am sure they have done the river hundreds of times. Steven and Kelly were also top notch but we didn't get to spend as much time with them.

I was worried that I had not picked a trip that would appeal to everyone in our family, but Western River Expeditions knocked it out of the National Park!
