Gorgeous and Challenging Grand Canyon Rafting
Gorgeous endless views of the Colorado River, Grand Canyon walls, and vegetation - the reds, greens, browns and blues of this desert climate provided an unbelievable setting for our 6-day rafting trip on the Colorado River.
As important as the geography and climate, four rafting guides made a wonderful, yet challenging trip. They encouraged full participation including sleeping under the stars and watching the moon rise - we loved it! Mark headed up piloting and safety protocol, Nick knowledgeable about geology and geography, Ben the pilot on the look-out for people with problems using his caring oversight, and Scott providing the needed sense of humor and music! At a moments notice, each one them could change role from pilot to safely manager to hike leader or biologist - a talented team creating a near seamless trip. They did not spare safety protocols while still challenging us to "experience" the rapids, and hike the secondary canyons. Without Mark, Nick, Ben and Scott, we would not have seen the canyon waterfalls and hikes that only seasoned guides could provide. And, oh! How they can cook!!
