Grand Canyon Vacations
We were lucky enough to go on a 4-day Ranch and River trip in the Grand Canyon with Western River Expeditions. This is a trip of a lifetime and what a trip it was!
Every detail was covered beginning with all the information, reminders and pictures before we left home. We were well prepared after following all of the suggestions and direction given.
Everything from our arrival in Las Vegas to our return went flawlessly.
The first day at Bar 10 Ranch was terrific. The staff is young, energetic and want only to please. Riding horses in the desert, sleeping in a covered wagon, great food and a fun song and dance show was too much fun. And then the river....after a helicopter ride in the copilot's seat, our adventure began. Our Western River guides, Wiley, Wren, and the Newt brothers were the best! They are skilled, smart, entertaining, professional, and entirely dedicated to what they do. It is easy to see how much they love their jobs.
The J-rigs are awesome. The Grand Canyon and the Colorado River are spectacular. I will never, ever forget sleeping under a blanket of stars in the clear Arizona sky. The food was great! Wings cooked riverside as an appetizer....really!? Steaks, blueberry pancakes, riverside feasts. I think I'll move in.
I cannot recommend this trip enough to anyone that has ever dreamt of rafting the Grand Canyon and wants the adventure of a lifetime. It was outstanding! A dream come true!
