Impressions: Sleeping under the stars embraced by ancient canyon walls, punctuated with river sounds (or perhaps people snoring!); interacting profoundly with the elements - intense power of water when riding the pontoons, viewing the rapid flows when seated on the coolers or relaxing drawing or doing nothing in the chicken coop; interactions of the wonderful Lebanese group, hanging with my dear friends, and the humor of everyone.
Appreciated was the kindness and expertise of our guides. All was so well organized, with attention to our diverse needs, like gluten-free options and assorted physical infirmities with some of our aging body issues. Delicious food. Sounds of the guides with stories, history, laughter, coffee call, creating safety and caring for such a diverse group of people time after time. A great reminder of acceptance and tolerance.
I especially enjoyed playing in the perfect waters of Havasu falls, being seemingly swallowed in the big Lava rapid hole, topped by the helicopter ride out. And the Depth of the Grand Canyon.
