Our Grand Canyon Vacation Was a Fun, Exhilarating, Humbling, and Deeply Spiritual Experience All Rolled Up Into One Incredible Adventure That Ended All Too Quickly.

The English lexicon simply does not have enough superlatives to describe the splendour and beauty of floating through the ever-changing, absolutely breath taking scenery of the Grand Canyon. Running the whitewater rapids on the J-rig was flat out the most fun we have had on this planet. The majesty of the Grand Canyon, and the heart pumping thrills of running the whitewater has left an indelible mark on both my wife and myself.

We cannot say enough about our 2 Western River guides, Newty and Ben. From our first contact with these exceptional young men, through the entire trip, their kindness, caring spirit, gentle nature, awesome sense of humour, and generosity made us feel more like friends and family than merely paying customers. These men made it very easy to be yourself.  Their easy going, knowledgeable and highly competent approach to every aspect of the trip inspired confidence, not only in their abilities, but in ours as well.  Their detailed, thorough explanations about procedures, safety, personal responsibilities, and what to look for on the trip were invaluable. Their culinary expertise was impressive, some of the best food I have eaten without doubt. We all loved their stories about the Colorado River, its rich history, and the geological overview of the Grand Canyon itself.  Both are outstanding ambassadors for Western River, and The Grand Canyon.
