If I Could Only Take 1 Trip For the Rest of My Life, I Would Raft the Grand Canyon

I have now been on three trips with Western River, the 4-day Bar Ten and Raft trip, and the 6-day Grand Canyon trip twice. Each time has been amazing. I loved the ranch hands at the Bar Ten singing Garth Brooks, "The River" which gives me chills when I hear it. I bonded with my dad jumping off Pumpkin Springs then surviving rain and flash floods on our three day trip. That trip 18 years ago changed my life in ways that reverberate today.I

I took the 6-day trip in 2004 or 2005 with the same guide (Steve Lowery?) from 1997. He was a seasoned professional by then and made it a great trip. This time I shared the voyage with my wife and brothers-in-law. Lynne now understands my connection to the Grand Canyon and why its a special place. It reconnects me to me and reminds me of what is important in my life, the people who I care about. The Western River Guides understand this and nurtured it in me.

The Grand Canyon is a wild, dangerous, exhilarating and beautiful place. Western does a great job making it safe and exciting at the same time. While I love to kayak, I would rather travel the canyon on the J-Rig. The food and camping are first-rate. I have done many adventure vacations and I keep coming back to this. THANK YOU!
