Rafting down the Grand Canyon
Whoo Hoo....what a week rafting the Grand Canyon! Anyone thinking of taking this trip should not hesitate...and just book it. Thankfully our friends invited us for their 10 year anniversary trip and from begininning to end we had so much fun, laughed, and had a lot of "firsts". For the first time we bathed in 50 degree water, went potty outdoors overlooking the river, slept outside, saw the bluest water, slid down a natural rock slide, heard amazing stories about the canyon, went on some wild hikes, and rode bigger rapids than I ever thought I would. The guides made our trip very special and memorable...they made us feel safe, were very entertaining, and were amazing chefs throughout the day. Kelly and Nathan (our guides) shared their love with the river with us and became friends. Going into the trip there were 6 of us....but by the end of the trip the 31 of us became a family. It was the most wonderful trip we've ever taken....we can't wait to go back!
