The ONLY Way to See and Experience the Grand Canyon and All it Offers!

My boyfriend and I were so excited to go on this rafting trip that we booked it a year in advance! As our trip drew closer Western River Expeditions kept us up to date and in the loop. They provided such a helpful and detailed packing list that we were certain we wouldn't forget anything!
We were so looking forward to this trip that when it came time to take off for Vegas we couldn't stop thinking about what this trip would really entail. We were not disappointed! Everything from the incredible views and scenery to the warm welcome by the guides and the Bar 10 Ranch our trip was off to a great start.
We really enjoyed the Bar 10 Ranch and being able to sleep in a covered wagon...a first for us both. Horseback riding and wonderful food rounded out our stay at the ranch. That night we saw stars that we have never seen before. The milky way and shooting stars were breathtaking! The helicopter ride into the canyon was one thing I was nervous about and to be honest was one of the highlights of the trip. It was spectacular!!
Our guides for the trip, John (Johnny) and R.D. were just outstanding. They were so knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon and made the trip and rapids SO much fun. The white water rafting was so much fun our cheeks hurt from smiling, laughing and screaming so much. We felt so safe with our guides and we knew they could really handle the water and the canyon.
The camp sites were beautiful and very different from camping we had done before. Caution- If you're easily affected by heat I may not suggest this trip. The canyon gets HOT...like really hot! We all dealt with the heat and our guides were constantly reminding us to drink water and stay hydrated. Always looking out for us. The food they prepared was beyond what we were expecting! Being a chef I was a little skeptical but man did they put out a spread every time! From breakfast to dinner we were full and happy!
I could go on and on about this trip but I just have to say that it was truly a trip of a lifetime and we are beyond happy that we went...heat and all!!!
