This Grand Canyon rafting trip was life changing for me.
No problems at all with our reservations. The list of what to bring that Western River sent was invaluable and the advice listed was also very helpful for us.
We had the most professional, most personable, most caring fellows as our guides. Our trip leader was Cash - trip July 20 through the 26th, 2010. Shad was his assistant. I cannot say enough about these two men - they made this trip for me as I felt safe and in very capable hands. I would not have had such a good experience as I was nervous and worried about the rapids. These two fellows made all the difference for me. Also Shad was very sincerely helpful to a friend of ours who was not as capable to hike over rocks and jump off the boat - he helped her often. Both men's experience, humor, insight, humanness and kindness really created the kind of environment where I could truly enjoy the canyon. It was a life changing trip for me and they played a huge part in that. Please let them know how important they were for me.
I loved this trip! I really came for the nature of the Canyon - I really am not the sort who couldn't wait for the next rapid! I felt our guides created an excellent set up for folks like me to have fun (learning about the geology, seeing the Big Horn sheep up close, etc) and for those in it for the excitement of the river running. This was truly a trip of a lifetime for me. I was "happy to the very deepest part of me" as put by one of my fellow river runners! It changed my view of life - put what is important into perspective.
