Western River guides are the best - very accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful. You can take the side trip hikes or not- your choice.
The food is great. Even the fire line, where everyone helps load and unload the rafts at camp sites, is fun. And the Grand Canyon sights are breath-taking. Finally, those white water rapids are not to be missed.
