Most Wonderful Grand Canyon Whitewater Trip
Of course, you expect the Grand Canyon to be beautiful. But it is so much more: changeable, fascinating, haunting, and full of hidden gems (some of which your guides will lead you to!)
The J-rig boats are reassuringly sturdy and we particularly liked the fact that there are multiple seating options so you can change your position for a better vantage point or to stretch out a bit. The food was amazing. I had not expected so many fresh ingredients! Every meal was a delight, especially some of the special surprises (which I will not reveal!)
The crew--"Newty", Alora, Travis, and Melissa--were exceptional. They were all knowledgeable, friendly, and good humored. Their instructions and prep talks were always clear and helpful. Travis and Newty were incredibly skillful steering through rapids! And dealing with the unexpected (like changing a motor--in 11 minutes!!) And I cannot thank Melissa enough for the courtesy she extended us on a personal matter of concern. We were fortunate to have a great group of fellow travelers as well. It was a as perfect as a trip can be, and we hope to do it again in the future. And it'll for sure be with Western River Expeditions.
