Where You’ll Stay on the Rogue River Lodge-to-Lodge Adventure

Real Beds. Hot Showers. Remote Comfort.

After a day of rafting Oregon’s legendary Rogue River, there’s nothing like arriving at a cozy riverside lodge. On this Rogue River Lodge-to-Lodge Adventure, your evenings are spent surrounded by wilderness but with the comfort of a real bed, a hot shower, and a warm meal waiting.

You’ll stay at three distinct lodges, each offering a different kind of welcome and charm.
Here’s what to expect at each one.

Night 1: Black Bar Lodge

Historic and Simple, Just What You Need

Built in the 1930s, Black Bar Lodge has been hosting river guests for generations. Here, you arrive to a wide lawn where you can stretch out, toss a frisbee, or enjoy appetizers before a hearty, family-style dinner.

The log cabins here are rustic but comfortable. You’ll sleep well, shower off the river dust, and wake up ready for another day of adventure.

What You’ll Find:

  • Cabins with 2 beds
  • Private bathrooms with hot showers (bring your own soap and toiletries)
  • Generator power runs from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • No cell service, and that’s the point

Night 2: Marial Lodge

Forest Views. Full Power. Rich History.

Marial Lodge sits above the river near the iconic Mule Creek Canyon. It’s cozy, surrounded by trees, and filled with the smell of home-cooked food. The main lodge is lined with books, historic photos, and stories from the early days of the Rogue River.

Guests often take a short walk after dinner to preview Mule Creek Canyon, the whitewater highlight of the next day.

What You’ll Find:

  • Rooms with twin beds
  • Private bathrooms and hot showers (bar soap included)
  • Generator power stays on overnight, great for CPAP users
  • Family-style meals with lazy Susans full of hearty favorites

Night 3: Half Moon Bar Lodge

Off-the-Grid Luxury Surrounded by Wilderness

Half Moon Bar Lodge is your final stop, and it’s unforgettable. With handcrafted furnishings, a full-service bar, and lodge-style dining, this riverside retreat blends backcountry simplicity with thoughtful touches.

Coffee is delivered to your door. You’ll walk under the stars, relax on shaded porches, and enjoy a gourmet meal to end your river journey right.

What You’ll Find:

  • A mix of private cabins, orchard house suites, and lodge rooms
  • Queen and single bed combinations in most rooms
  • CPAP-ready accommodations with ensuite or shared bathrooms
  • Custom wood furniture, cowboy soaking tubs, and garden or forest views
  • Full bar with artisan cocktails + chef-prepared meals

More Than a Place to Sleep

Guests often come for the rapids but say they’ll return for the evenings: the lodge laughter, the family-style meals, the coffee on the porch, and the guides who feel like old friends.

You won’t just rest up here. You’ll connect, reflect, and remember.
