The service was beyond 5 star. The head of our raft was Roy and he kept everyone safe and highly entertained. All the people bringing you down the river work in at the Lodge so it is an incredibly intimate, service oriented experience. The food was incredible and the setting and spaces were out of any travel and leisure guidebook. Everything at Pacuare Lodge was 5 star. The other properties and activities were also incredible. Excellent service from drivers, hotel staff, waiters, everyone. There was not a single thing I could take issue with. Spend the money and treat yourself. It's a once in a lifetime experience.

Absolutely incredible! This can be the perfect romantic vacation or the perfect family adventure, which is hard to find in other trips. The Pacaure Lodge was magical and the rafting in the warm Costa Rica waters was perfect. We loved just laying in our hammock and listening to the sounds of the jungle. The hot springs at Tabacon were amazing - the perfect end to the day! And Manuel Antonio was unreal. I couldn't believe how many monkeys, sloths and iguanas we saw - right next to us both from our bungalow and from the beach! I can't wait to do it again!

My husband and I did this for our honeymoon and did not want to leave! A complete dream. The trip in and out via white water rafting was awesome and also unforgettable. Everyone made us feel very comfortable and they were all so knowledgeable in everything. The entire trip was seamless even with so much going on.The food was also amazing! We can't wait to come back!

The most magical place!! I have now been twice and will be back again- the level of genuine service and care is beyond that of any resort I've been to - and I travel a lot! Roberto, Willmen, and the team will take excellent care if you! The drives between each location were a little long, but each destination well worth it! Great place to bring the family and just escape reality for a short while!

This was my first rafting experience & our expert river guide Luis Andres made sure that while it was exhilarating it was never too frightening for me. Luis Andres looked after us throughout our stay and like all the staff came from the local area. All were friendly and knowledgeable and added a big part to the enjoyment of our stay. Pacuare Lodge sits in a luxuriant rainforest reserve, and relies on candles for lighting in the lodges - no power or wi fi in the lodges although available in the central 'hub'. But what luxurious lodges they are! Pacuare Lodge offers the opportunity to dine in 'The Nest' - a platform high in the branches of an ancient Kapok tree. Not for someone with a fear of heights (me) but a must for those who don't! The adventure of white water kayaking and rafting was amazing, and allowed us to see this beautiful river and nature at its most spectacular.

Guides were perfect. Nice, informative and just Great. Loved them all! Western did a first rate job setting it up! Accommodations, tours-Everything ran smoothly and perfectly. Pacure Lodge -wonderful choice as partners in this adventure! Can’t say enough good things...Wonderful vacation. Exciting and beautiful country. Wish we had stayed longer!

Very easy. Bonnie helped us customize some of our activities and because she has done the trip herself, she had great suggestions and insight. Our driver, Jose made sure everything was perfect and he was very friendly. We loved everyone we met from the Pacuare Lodge. Giovani and Eric were fabulous guides for our 7 mile hike through the jungle. Rafting on the Pacuare River in Costa Rica was pure joy with the spectacular rapids and scenery and the Lodge was magical because of the serene setting and impeccable service. The Tulemar Bungalows were nestled in the Jungle overlooking the ocean and it was fun to watch the monkeys and sloths from our deck. We especially loved the private beach with the kayaks and boogie boards provided. Every detail was taken care of for us so all we needed to worry about was having fun.

Pacuare Lodge is beautiful, we never wanted to leave, the Linda Vista Suites were unbelievable...we would have stayed there the whole week! Guides were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Zip lining was fun... we took it to the treehouse where we made a reservation for lunch. That was way cool! Rafting was in some very beautiful terrain, the waterfalls are breath taking. Tabacon was amazing. Those pools were incredible...we always seemed to find a watering hole to ourselves! Tons of wildlife, iguanas hanging out watching you in the pools and lots of monkey play above you in the trees. Tulemar- loved the private beaches and the villa was spot on with location and view. Loved listening to the Howler monkeys at dawn..Even saw a sloth and a baby in a tree not so tall. At Manuel Antonio National Park beach, it was literally invasion of the Howler and Capuchin monkeys, no fear of humans..would walk right up to you and in front of you. Had to be at least 50 of them…Very organized trip, transfers were right on time, drivers were safe and cautious. All in all, great trip with no regrets.

We had the trip of a lifetime!!! It was absolutely fantastic in every way as we were able to see so many different aspects of the country. Our favorite by far was the time we spent at the Pacuare lodge. The lodge, staff, food, and beauty far exceeded our expectations .. 10 stars. The food was so good that everything else was disappointing in comparison. One of the owners of the Pacuare lodge joined us one evening and gave us the history and mission of the their business.

The experience was incredible and we very much want to return... Everyone we worked with were true professionals who made our trip exceptional. Costa Rica is immaculate and our only health concerns were flying on US airlines and airports. Thanks again for making our trip such an excellent adventure!
