Main Salmon River Rafting Reviews

Of all the river rafting trips we've been on, this was by far the best. The Salmon River's crystal clear water and white sandy beaches made camping easy and clean. We never felt dusty or dirty. But the best part of the trip were the river guides. They were knowledgeable, organized, engaging, and so much fun. They worked hard every waking minute to ensure that we had gourmet meals and appetizers ready as soon as we got on shore, and planned games and activities for the whole group to do when we weren't rating or eating.

Words fail to express how great the guides were. After a hard day of rowing, they served up delicious meals, all with friendly conversation. They made the river trip an incredible memory. I am already going over the photos I took. The memories will last a lifetime. The staff and other guests were wonderful.

From booking three weeks prior to the last day on the river; our trip was first-rate! The guides were all very helpful with each day of the trip, from preparing better meals than I could have ever imagined to setting up the tents and "groover". They were AWESOME and full of personality. Kept a smile on my face.

I would definitely do this rafting trip again. I miss the majesty of Idaho already! My group and I have already been discussing making this an annual trip.

Way better than I ever could have dreamed.

We had such a great time on our first rafting trip on the Salmon! Ben was a fabulous guide - we felt in very good hands with him. Sam and I both had a blast and yes, we do want to do it again! I told Sam I want to come back next weekend, and every weekend after that. Ha!

Guides were outstanding, enthusiastic, hardworking and entertaining. After using various guides for 25 years, I have never been asked my opinion of their service. Head and shoulders above all the others in my experience.

Having rafted the Grand Canyon previously, I had some doubts that the Salmon River trip would measure up. They were immediately erased once we got on the river. In addition to the scenery, wildlife and whitewater our guides made the trip just super!

Thanks for the memories! Our whitewater rafting trip was the best family vacation we have ever taken! It was truly an Adventure for all of us. We met wonderful people, ate wonderful food, and enjoyed the spectacular scenery and wildlife. The river guides were awesome and kept our teenagers entertained as well as the adults. We'll be talking about this trip forever!

Matthew and I had a great time on the Salmon, Action Whitewater Adventures provided the same great experience as WRE, our crew of Brady, Chris, Marcus, Maya and Clara were exceptional, their hard work and great personalities made the trip even more enjoyable. Low water and a little smoke were not a major issue for the group. Water temps were great and sleeping under the stars was perfect. The last day bus ride out was exciting due to a previous day’s fire along the exit road that required an escort vehicle to assist us. We loved the afternoon/ night in McCall, beautiful little town! Thanks for all your assistance over the phone, we are ready to look at another trip for next year.
