Given the dense jungle area, common rain showers and abundant wildlife, there are a few things to think about as you plan ahead to get some great shots of your trip to Costa Rica. While much of the wildlife you encounter will literally be right in front of you, there are many times when you'll spot a beautiful Macaw, a playful monkey or a lazy sloth in the trees above you. In these moments, you'll appreciate having a camera with a decent zoom so you can get in close and capture the perfect picture. As most of your time will spent outside in Costa Rica, you'll want to be sure your camera will be okay in both the splashes of the river and the frequent rain showers. If you plan to shoot with your phone, make sure you have a good waterproof case or sleeve. A little planning ahead will ensure that you'll be able to capture unforgettable moments on the trip of a lifetime.
