Mile 41 - Buck Farm Canyon

The canyon drains the east side of the Kaibab Plateau, also known as Buckskin Mountain. Buckskin is an alteration of the Southern Paiute word Bucksin, meaning mule deer. Mule deer frequent this area of the canyon, river runners often notice them relaxing lazily along water’s edge.
