I've always loved river running. There's just something about being on a river that is just so calming to your soul. Last year, after like a 30 year break of not being on the river, I went down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon with Western River Expeditions and my love of river running just got awakened. I just love it.

There is nothing like getting on the water. These larger pontoon boats can run through some of the largest waves I've ever seen in my life. They just power through them, they're just amazing. Many many thoughts went through my head as I looked at those huge, huge waves and I was like, "Oh no! This is insane, this is like Lava Falls!" Then I saw Tex's boat power through. That gave me confidence that we were going to make it. Going through those rapids is better than any ride any roller coaster in the world. I love it.

I think everyone needs to go on the river at least once. And then they'll learn what the river can give. The peace and serenity and the thrills and excitement. You just can't believe it. All in one little package. It's fantastic. Everyone needs to do it.
